1. Mileage Policy
- Standard Mileage Rate: A mileage fee of $0.69 per mile will be charged for travel beyond a 35 mile radius from the main office location of 242 Oak Ave Ste# 133, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
- Extended Travel: For distances exceeding 50 miles, additional travel time may be billed at an hourly rate of $25.00 per hour.
- Calculation: Mileage is calculated from the starting point to the location and back to the starting point.
- Waivers: Mileage fees may be waived for bulk testing contracts or under special arrangements.
2. Same Day Appointment Fees
- Urgency Fee: A same-day appointment can be arranged for an additional fee of $50.00, subject to availability.
- Booking Window: Same-day appointments must be booked at least 4 hours in advance. Requests made after 2:00 PM may incur an extra fee.
- Availability: Same-day appointments are not guaranteed and are based on the availability of staff and resources.
- Payment: The urgency fee must be paid in full at the time of booking.
3. Additional Parties
- Base Booking Fee: The base testing fee includes up to two parties (e.g., one alleged father and one child).
- Additional Party Fee For each additional party (e.g., another child, mother, etc.), an extra fee of $75.00 will be applied.
- Group Discounts: Discounts may be available for testing more than three additional parties. Contact our office for a customized quote.
- Documentation: All parties must provide valid identification and consent forms before testing.
4. Payments
- Deposit Fee: Because we are a mobile service we do require a deposit of $75.00 at the time of scheduling. The amount will go toward the balance and payment in full. This deposit is only refundable if Norka cancels or is unable to fulfill the scheduled appointment, should a cancellation be required, we will first ask to reschedule the appointment.
- Card-on File: Norka requires a card on file to only be charged for services at the request of the customer, or to process for payment in the instances of over mileage or no/short notice cancellation or no-show, no reschedule within the time stated within these policies. After all charges are paid, Norka will not keep your card number on file.
- Payment Required: The full balance of the payment can be made at anytime prior to the appointment and must be paid in cash or card prior to the DNA collection process, Norka will not break up payments nor process payments from two different persons, cards or sources
- AfterPay: While Norka accepts AfterPay, Norka has no relationship with AfterPay nor at any time currently or in the future shall Norka bear any responsibility for the contract made between the customer and AfterPay or payments processed by AfterPay.
5. Refund Policy
- Refund Eligibility: Refunds are available if a cancellation request is received at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. Rescheduling is available without loss of any payments.
- Processing Time: Approved refunds will be processed within 10 business days from the date the request is received by Norka.
- Non-Refundable Fees: Same-day appointment fees, mileage fees, any lab processing fees, fees for any collection equipment used.
- Partial Refund: If testing has commenced but not completed, a partial refund may be issued, excluding costs for services already rendered.
6. Cancellation Policy
- Standard Cancellation: Cancellations must be at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment to avoid any penalties.
- Late Cancellations: Cancellations made within 36 hours of the appointment will incur a cancellation fee of $75.00.
- No-Show Policy: Failure to appear for an appointment without prior cancellation will result in the full charge of the service fee, and no refunds will be issued.
- Rescheduling: Appointments can be rescheduled once without penalty if notice is given at least 24 hours in advance.
7. Results:
- Reporting the Results: Results will only be released to the person that paid for the service. Once those results are released it is the purchaser's information to do with as they please and Norka is in no way to be held liable or responsible. This policy may differ in the case of a court ordered paternity test. All test results will be emailed. Legal Paternity will also receive a mailed copy to the address provided.
8. Location of Collection
Norka is a mobile service and will not come to any private homes for collections. All collections will be done discreetly in a public location that is comfortable and agreeable to both the client and the collector. (ie, library, drugstore, doctors office location. Coffee shop, restaurant,
